With ca. 2,200 residents and 2.4 km² total land area, Zell im Zillertal represents the heart of the Ziller Valley. The village lies at an elevation of 575 metres above sea level and serves both as the administrative and educational hub of the Zillertal. "Let's head for the mountains!" is very much the motto of Zell am Ziller.
In winter, the Zillertal Arena is the biggest ski area in the Zillertal and we are just a 4-minute walk away from all the action. Come experience 215 km of ski slopes, 67 lifts, 88 ha of slopes serviced by snow-making machinery, numerous alpine huts, snow bars and après-ski pubs!
In summer, the Zillertal Arena is "The Valley of One Thousand Mountains".
Everyone here finds their own special mountain adventure: Whether that be hiking, mountaineering or along one of our numerous mountain-bike trails, or perhaps paragliding or simply taking a relaxing stroll. The 45,000 m² amusement park enriches your family experience in Zell im Zillertal even more.

Arena Coaster in the Zillertal Arena
Since the beginning of September 2007: The Arena Coaster, located next to the base station of the lifts which serve the Zillertal Arena! The first alpine rollercoaster of the Ziller Valley zooms down towards the valley below. The Arena Coaster, actually a new-generation summer alpine slide, adds even more sparkle and an additional attraction to the region. Highlights of this 1500 metres-long track include two loops, jumps and its convenient location close to the valley bottom. In fact, your coaster fun begins right next to the base station of the Kreuzjochbahn lift in Zell. There is actually a separate track for you to ride the sled up to the top of the hill.
It's then time to hit the track proper, flying over undulations, through banked turns and loops back to your original starting point.
